In August of 2003 Advance Commercial Movers, a Mayflower Transit Agent, formed a joint venture with FITCO, a leading New York City-based provider of furniture installation services. Led by CEO James Molloy and President Shamus Barnes, FITCO is well-known and respected in the furniture installation and moving fields. The company has a more than 10 year track record of providing high quality warehouse and installation services to New York’s top companies.
Advance Commercial Movers has been providing high quality moving and storage services for more than 50 years. The company’s leadership and innovation has allowed it to adapt and thrive in this competitive business sector.
FITCO, which now operates as a joint venture with Advance Commercial Movers, provides exceptional furniture installation, warehousing and moving services. Combined, Advance and FITCO is now the largest carpenter furniture installation and warehousing organization in the New York metropolitan area.
FITCO’s carpenters and staff are certified for the installation of products from
major United States and international furniture manufactures including Steelcase,
Herman Miller, Neinkamper, Thrasher and Meridian and many other leading brands.
The company maintains a 200,000 square foot warehouse and workshop facility located only minutes from Manhattan in Maspeth, Queens. A recognized leader in the field, FITCO has been providing bar code asset management and digital inventory services since 1996, making it one of the pioneering facilities of its type anywhere in the country. This leadership position has been established by using the latest in technology to create an innovative and comprehensive methodology for successfully identifying, documenting, and maintaining asset databases.
