1. What is FITCO’s commitment to the environment?

All FITCO recycling is done in accordance with NYS DEC and EPA guidelines. Historically, we achieve a 95% rate of product recycling. Validation certificates are provided.

2. How does FITCO distinguish itself for its competitors?

FITCO has thrived because it nurtures quality staff, maintains a commitment to the highest service standards, and anticipates marketplace trends. With the added resources of The Advance Group, FITCO provides a full range of integrated services.

3. Are you union?

Yes. FITCO is signed with the New York City District Council of Carpenters. FITCO assumes responsibility for insuring a harmonious working relationship with all other trade unions involved in our projects and has the ability to employ all the necessary trades required for special projects through the BCA (Building Contractors Association).

4. What is the extent of your insurance coverage?

The Advance Group maintains aggregate combined coverage of $11 million. This is twice the NYC building management requirement and twice the typical coverage held by competitors.

5. How long does it take to submit a bid?

For new furniture, we will turn around a proposal in as short as 24 hours, providing that we have or can obtain AutoCAD drawings and quantities.

For reconfigurations and relocations, we will schedule a site survey and walkthrough within 24 hours of your request and submit a proposal by the following day.

6. How long will it take to install furniture?

FITCO prides itself on responsive customer service. Furniture installations can be complex projects involving many variables that must be estimated. FITCO project managers are trained to collect all required information on a priority basis and will provide you with a detailed installation schedule.

7. What is the extent of FITCO training on leading manufacturer products?

FITCO is a manufacturer-trained installer for all of the major manufacturers. We invest in extensive training and send our employees around the globe to attend special training certification programs.

8. Is FITCO limited in scope to projects it can handle?

FITCO is capable of the largest projects with the most demanding constraints. Two of FITCO’s most prominent projects include the Oppenheimer/Mass Mutual merger of operations at 2 World Financial Center that required over 100 staff to install over 800 workstations and offices on 5 floors; and the Citibank Tower II project in Long Island City where over 1,400 positions were installed on 13 floors in a fast-track schedule of 3 months.
