James M. Barnes
Vice President, Sales

Mr. James Barnes has more than 30 years experience as a corporate relocation specialist. The New York State Board of Regents certifies him as a Certified Moving Consultant. Jim specializes in establishing centralized facility relocation programs for headquarter operations that desire a standard throughout their nationwide facilities. He has been responsible for Coopers & Lybrand, Financial Guaranty Insurance Company, GE, Willis Insurance, Bloomberg, and the Fulton Fish Market relocations as well as the US Navy and Governors Island.

Jim is a graduate of Marist College (Bachelor of Science) and Mt. St. Michael High School. Presently, he serves as a Trustee of Marist College and is a member of IFMA (International Facility Management Association), CoreNet Global NYC Chapter and REBNY (The Real Estate Board of New York). Jim was a Captain in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War, serving as a platoon commander. He has 14 combat decorations and Navy commendations. He is a member of the Knights of St. Patrick, the New York Athletic Club, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI/Marine Corp. Association). He is a trustee of the Adaptive Sports Foundation and the Wounded Warriors Project.
